A short course to give you the know-how, language and confidence you need to make impact

THE WHY

The planet needs Marketers. Along with strategists and creatives they are the people most skilled in shaping different aspirations and driving behaviour change.

But in the great transition to the post-carbon world, too many marketers are being left out of the important upstream board room conversations.

Worse still, many smart marketers lack the confidence to have a truly upstream conversation about climate change, they fear they’ll be seen as either activists or not commercial enough.

It’s time to fix that.

THE HOW

Each session covers;

  • How to shift the Sustainability conversation from cost to opportunity.

  • Why the Great Transition is the biggest economic and social opportunity of our lifetimes, with detailed examples and case studies.

  • The case for clean, green growth.

  • The new role of marketing in a resource-constrained world.

  • Why marketing strategy now has a crucial role at the top table and how to engage the boardroom.

  • Frameworks to help you address the most common sustainability challenges marketers are facing in their role right now.

  • The common communication mistakes around sustainability and how to avoid greenwashing and greenhushing.

You can choose between an IRL session in Central London or a virtual session for people who prefer not to travel.

Delivered by Leo Rayman and David Wilding with help from expert advisers in the sustainability, marketing and communications space, the sessions have been designed to balance a depth of information with practical exercises to stretch and strengthen your learning and the opportunity for peer to peer learning from senior leaders.

THE WHO

Who’s it for? This course has been designed for marketers, strategists and planners who know that sustainability is the key issue facing the planet, society and business but feel that they lack the confidence or expertise to make real impact.

It was inspired by a conversation we had with a very good senior marketing strategist about what we do at Edenlab who very honestly said that they worry that they’d look naive talking to their client about their business through the lens of sustainability and didn’t want to be “patronised out of the room”.

We believe that the great transition to the post-carbon economy and switching demand toward greener cleaner alternatives is too important to have smart people feeling this way.

So we’ve designed a short Upstreaming course, to empower you with the know-how, language and confidence needed to make a real impact and help you have the upstream conversations that really matter.

The course price is:

  • £496 plus VAT
